About Dr. Bernstein
Dr. Alyssa S. Bernstein graduated from Lehigh University with an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience in Bethlehem, PA. She pursued her dental studies at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ. She completed her general practice residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ.
She is an active member of the American Dental Association and a past president of the Middlesex County Dental Society, where she is still an active board member. She participates in many symposiums and study groups.
Dr. Bernstein takes the time to educate her patients on all treatment options and provides each patient with personal attention. She strives each day to live up to the highest standard and to treat patients like family. Dr. Bernstein lives in Asbury Park, where she enjoys running on the boardwalk and burying her feet in the sand.
Office Staff
Stephanie began working with Dr. Alyssa Bernstein when she opened her doors in April 2004, during Stephanie’s senior year of college. In May 2004, Stephanie graduated from Kean University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and was inducted into the National Marketing Honor Society, Mu Kappa Tau. At Dr. Bernstein’s office, Stephanie assists our patients with navigating insurance questions and coordinating their treatment as needed.
Being part of Dr. Bernstein’s staff has brought her a great deal of happiness, and she plans to continue watching the practice grow and flourish. Stephanie is also the executive secretary for Middlesex County Dental Society and understands Dr. Bernstein’s strong commitment to organized dentistry and continuing education. When not at the office, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Kimra started her career by obtaining a New Jersey cosmetology license and continued to grow her nail business for many years. Coming from a career in the service industry, she understands the importance of treating patients like family.
Kimra joined the practice in 2004 and has been instrumental in its growth and patient retention. She is usually the first person you will speak to when calling Dr. Alyssa S. Bernstein’s office. She will coordinate your dental appointments and help you with any concerns or requests. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three exceptional children, gardening, and relaxing by the beach.
Hygienists
Colleen graduated from Middlesex County College with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She was the class vice president in 1991 and the class president in her graduating year of 1992. Colleen has been practicing dental hygiene for 28 years now and hopes to continue for another 28 years to come.
Colleen is rewarded by improving her patients' overall dental care and educating them on their personal dental needs. Her daily goal is to ensure that each patient has the most positive experience. When not at the office, she enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Drew. Colleen and her family love spending as much time as possible outdoors.

Danielle began her educational studies in 1999 at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. In 2004, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, majoring in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Danielle has had the pleasure of experiencing life on both coasts of our great country, with California on the West Coast and New Jersey and Virginia on the East Coast. She enjoyed working in Virginia for four years after graduating from Old Dominion University.
In 2008, Danielle joined the staff at Dr. Alyssa Bernstein’s office. She is happy to be back in her home state of New Jersey. Over the years, Danielle has had the privilege of working with children, adults, and patients with special needs. She has an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and value in serving every patient. Danielle loves her career and providing exceptional dental hygiene services.
Lori began her dental career 37 years ago as a Dental Assistant. In 1987, she graduated from Union County College in Scotch Plains, NJ, with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Lori is an active member of the Central New Jersey Dental Hygiene Study Club.
In 2014, Lori joined the dental staff of Dr. Alyssa S. Bernstein and has enjoyed treating her patients with the same gentle touch and caring conversation that she would want to receive. Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and their wonderful children. She enjoys attending concerts and spending time at her parents’ summer home on the Jersey Shore.
Assistants
Gina started her dental career in 1989 after completing courses in dental assisting and obtaining her dental X-ray license. She has gained experience in multiple fields of dentistry, working alongside dentists in specialties such as orthodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery over the years.
In 2005, Gina joined the practice and has contributed to the efficiency and the high standard of patient care. She is not only Dr. Bernstein’s assistant but also the OSHA compliance coordinator of the office, going above and beyond to ensure that all sterilization and OSHA standards are met. In her spare time, Gina enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and her doggie Paisley.
